Proportion-Air’s compressed natural gas regulator is controlled with a command signal of 4-20mA. They are intrinsically safe (see brochure for specific FM approvals). The electronic regulator can control pressure on top of a slave gas regulator or a slave gas valve to control pressure or flow of natural gas. These electronic regulators are not constant bleed devices like an I/P transducer and they meet the EPA-HQ-OAR-2010-0505 rule that states that continuous bleed natural gas driven pneumatic controllers between the wellhead and the gas processing plant must have a bleed rate not greater than 6 SCFH.
